Highlights of the Program

* Commitment of the four Government Departments to ongoing support for the Program.
* Raised community awareness of the importance of Early Childhood Intervention.
* Establishment of a network of Area and Local committees across the State.
* Development of a Manual and Training Package entitled "Recommended Practices in    Family Centred Early Childhood Intervention"
* Establishment of Info line to access a Database of over 500 early Childhood Intervention   services in New South Wales. Free Phone call anywhere in NSW 1300 65 68 65
* Provision of educational programs, to families and service providers in Early Childhood    Intervention Services.
* An ongoing sharing of information a resource between services.
* Dissemination of information brochures about Early Childhood Intervention in 41    community languages.
